Day 1 Depart Australia
Today you board your flight to Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. After clearing customs you are met by your private coach and transferred to your 3-star resort hotel, your home for the next three nights. On arrival, unpack and soak up the unique atmosphere of this Indian Ocean paradise.
Day 2 Port Louis, Mauritius
Today we will enjoy an included sightseeing tour of the island of Mauritius. We will visit the famed Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens with its fascinating collections of plants, including water lilies. Port Louis is known for its French colonial architecture and maritime history. We travel through the city and learn of its pirate history, and much more.
Day 3 Port Louis, Mauritius
A free day to explore the island or simply relax in our beach resort hotel.
Day 4 Embarkation
A free day to relax before later being transferred to the port to board the luxurious Costa Mediterranea.
Day 5 At sea
A free day to explore the ship and discover the fabulous facilities on board. Enjoy a wellness experience of complete bliss and rejuvenation in the Samsara Spa. The spa features treatments from around the world and is a paradise where time stands still; the ideal place to unwind and relax.

Day 7 Victoria, Seychelles
This morning we arrive in Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles on the island of Mahe. The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, off east Africa. It is home to numerous beaches, coral reefs and nature reserves, as well as rare animals such as giant Aldabra tortoises. The day will be free for sightseeing.
Day 8 Victoria, Seychelles
A free day to explore the island of Mahe. Take a sightseeing tour of the beautiful main island known for its natural beauty. Its palm-fringed beaches are perhaps the most beautiful in the world, with a spectacular mountainous interior. This gorgeous island is a definite highlight of the cruise.
Day 9 Victoria, Seychelles
Early this afternoon we depart Victoria and cruise towards the coast of Madagascar.
Day 10 At sea
A free day to explore the ship and enjoy the fabulous facilities on board. Take some dance lessons; enjoy poolside games; quizzes and crafts classes.
Day 11 Nosy Be, Madagascar
Nosy Be is a beautiful tropical island, covered with palm trees and bougainvillea, and is Madagascar’s leading tourist destination. It boasts breath-taking beaches, lush vegetation, friendly people and a relaxed atmosphere. It is the largest of Madagascar’s islands and lies off its northwest coast, in an area with a pleasant climate. It is often called Nosy Manitra (the “Scented Island”) because it is a producer of a precious essential oil extracted from the flowers of the ylang-ylang tree, which is exported to the West for use in the perfume industry. Take a sightseeing tour of this interesting island and visit the old town near the port, which is home to several colonial buildings, including the old prison, built in 1855.

Day 13 Tamatave, Madagascar
Tamatave is a port city on the east coast of Madagascar. Its old town district features Creole houses built on stilts and a visit to the local markets is a must for any visitor. You can buy vanilla in all forms: syrup, powder, in sticks, but also other spices, tons of tropical fruits: litchis, mangoes, guayavas, jackfruit, souvenir shells or local arts and craft. Alternatively take a sightseeing tour to nearby national parks to see the native Lemurs in the wild.
Day 14 At sea
Our final day at sea to explore and enjoy the facilities of the ship.
Day 15 Saint Denis, Reunion
Today we call in to the island of Reunion, a French colony since 1813. French speaking, with euros as the local currency, Reunion is a little bit of France in the Indian Ocean. The mountainous area of this rugged island are truly outstanding and a tour to see some spectacular waterfalls is highly recommended.
Day 16 Saint Denis, Reunion
Denis still retains its original French spirit, which is demonstrated by the many bistros with Parisian cuisine, enriched by Caribbean influences. Still known as ‘the Paris of the Indian Ocean’ the city of Saint Denis is the capital of the island of Réunion, both economically, administratively and culturally. During our stop, you can visit churches, monuments, creole houses and ancient military buildings that reflect the various eras that have marked the island, and which are a symbol of its multiculturalism.
Day 17 Port Louis, Mauritius
This morning you arrive back in Port Louis, Mauritius. Today is a free day to further explore the island, or to buy some last-minute gifts. Tonight will be our last night on board the Costa Mediterranea.
Day 18 Departure
We disembark the ship this morning and have free time before we are transferred to the airport for our overnight flight back to Australia.
Day 19 Arrival Australia
This morning the tour group arrives into Australia, and the tour concludes.
