Rome
Today we will enjoy a sightseeing tour of
Rome with a local guide. We will see the
famous Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, Piazza
Navona, Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain,
where you can throw two coins over your
shoulder into the fountain and wish to return
to Rome. We will also stop at St Peter’s Square
to see the Vatican, home of the Pope and St
Pauls Basilica.

Today we enjoy a day tour to Tivoli on the
outskirts of Rome to visit Villa d‘Éste and
Hadrian’s Villa. Tivoli is home to luxurious
residences, magnificent villas, and two famous UNESCO World Heritage sites: the
Renaissance palace of Villa d’Este, known for
its extravagant, gardens and water fountains,
and the ruins of Hadrian’s Villa the grand
second-century estate of Emperor Hadrian of
ancient Rome.

Syracuse, Sicily, Italy
Syracuse (Siracusa) captures the timeless
allure of Sicily like no other city. Ancient
Greek ruins emerge from verdant citrus
groves, café tables spread across stunning
baroque piazzas, and honey-toned medieval
streets wind their way to the glistening blue
sea. In its prime, Syracuse was the largest city
in the ancient world, surpassing even Athens
and Corinth. The day is free for you to explore – you may like to visit Parco Archeologico
della Neapolis, home to the Teatro Greco,
the famous Ear of Dionysius or stroll through
the Old Town and see the famous cathedral
that contains the ruins of an ancient Roman
temple inside.

Gozo, Malta
Gozo, also known as the Isle of Calypso, is a
gem of the Maltese archipelago and one of the
Mediterranean’s most pristine and distinctive
islands. It offers a serene environment where
time seems to have paused, featuring some
of the world’s oldest structures. Among its
historical treasures are the Ggantija temples,
which are celebrated as the oldest free
standing religious buildings globally, predating
both the Pyramids of Egypt and Stonehenge.

Valletta, Malta
The capital of Malta, Valletta was founded by
the Knights of St John in 1566. Its purpose
was to strengthen the Order’s position on
the island, following the siege of Malta by the
Turks in 1565. Enjoy a free day to explore, you
may like to visit the St Johns Co Cathedral and
the magnificent Palace of the Grand Masters.
Another option is a tour to Mdina, Malta’s
ancient capital and a medieval walled town
situated on a hill in the centre of the island.

Empedocle, a picturesque Sicilian town with

The famous Valley of the Temples are an
approximately 15 minute drive away. Dating
from the 5th century BC, It is one of the most
outstanding examples of ancient Greek art
and architecture of Magna Graecia, and is one
of the main attractions of Sicily.

Trapani, Sicily, Italy
Nestled on Sicily’s coast, Trapani boasts
a blend of historical charm and natural
beauty. Once an ancient agricultural center,
it has grown into a lively modern city. Its
distinctive scythe-like shape is said to have
originated from a myth in which Demeter
dropped her scythe while searching for
Persephone, shaping Trapani’s unique
coastline. Another option would be to take
an excursion to the ancient town of Erice
in the hills outside of Trapani and now
surrounded by Medieval walls.

Lipari, Italy
Lipari is not only the largest of the Aeolian
Islands, but it is the least “volcanic” of
its 7 islands, as evidenced by the weak
hydrothermal and fumarole activity. Enjoy
a free day to discover its charming village,
reachable only by small ships like the Wind
Surf, or delve into its mythological past.
Lipari is steeped in legends, often linked to
Greek mythology. It was believed to be home
to the Cyclops in Homer’s “Odyssey” and
was associated with various ancient deities.
Explore how these myths shaped the island’s
cultural and historical identity, celebrated as a
UNESCO World Heritage site. Another option
would be to take an excursion to the volcanic
island of Stromboli, the source of many
ancient legends.

Sorrento, Italy
Spend a relaxing day in the beautiful resort
town of Sorrento with its spectacular views of
the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Or you make like to take a tour and visit the ancient,
perfectly preserved ruins of Pompeii, a wealthy
settlement of the Roman Empire, destroyed
by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD. See the
Forum, the House of the Vetti, a well-preserved
aristocratic villa and much more.

Amalfi, Italy
The town of Amalfi lies at the mouth of a deep
ravine and is surrounded by dramatic cliffs
and coastal scenery. Wander around town and
visit the cathedral, or you may like to enjoy
a limoncello tasting. Or take an excursion
to the towns of Positano, with its charming
pastel-coloured houses or Ravello, home to
the spectacular gardens of Villa Cimbrone and
Villa Rufolo.

International touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.

TOUR COSTS:
The tour costs are based on airfare, general transport,
accommodation costs and foreign exchange rate at 1 October 2024.
Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change,
giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund
of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to price will be made
within 132 days of departure from Australia.
AIR TAXES:
From Brisbane/Melbourne/Sydney as listed in the itinerary.
Please contact us for fares and air taxes from different cities. Air taxes are
as at 1 October 2024. If they change due to government and airline charges
and currency variations, Travelrite International reserves the right to charge
additional amounts.
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT:
A non-refundable deposit of $1200 per passenger
should be sent with a completed Travelrite International booking form that
lists your requested cabin category. As soon as the booking is confirmed, a
cruise confirmation advice will be posted to the client. The passenger must
also complete and return a reservation form to Travelrite International.
Final payments are due to be paid to Travelrite International 132 days prior
to the commencement of the cruise.

MINIMUM TOUR NUMBERS AND CONDITIONS:
The tour has been priced on
the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 132 days prior
to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full
refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour
at a modified cost.
TOUR ORGANISATION:
Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised
entrances if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.
REFUNDS:
The tour is based on arrangements that do not allow for any
refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals, airfare or other
services not utilized after the tour has commenced.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:
All passengers will require a valid passport. Visas
for countries visited are not required for Australian passport holders. If you
hold another passport please check with Travelrite.
BAGGAGE:
All passengers qualify for the 23kg free baggage allowance.
TOUR PARTICIPATION:
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.

Travelrite International Pty Ltd, it’s agents, officers, affiliates, and/or
suppliers of services pursuant to or in connection with these fly/cruise/
stay holidays shall act only as agents in making arrangements for hotels,
transportation including transportation by ship, restaurants, or any
other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury,
damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an
act of negligence or a default of any hotel, carrier restaurant company
or person rendering any services included in fly/cruises, or by act of God.
Further no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to
sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine,
government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their
control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omission,
delays, re-routing or acts of any government authority. Baggage is at
owners risk throughout the fly/cruise/stay holiday. The passage contract
between the carriers concerned when issued shall constitute the sole
contract between the carriers and the purchasers of these fly/cruise/stay
holidays and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any
fly/ cruise/stay holiday and/or make such changes in the fly/ cruise/stay
holidays as may be found desirable or necessary for the convenience of the
parties and the proper carrying out of the fly/cruises. This contract shall be
construed in accordance of the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
DELAYS AND UNFORESEEN EVENTS:
You engage Travelrite International
to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite
International acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts
between you and the various providers of accommodation, transportation and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite may without reference
to you provide or make available to you, or may as your agent engage any
third party to provide or make available to you, any good or service which
Travelrite reasonably believes is necessary for your benefit to maintain
the tour itinerary, repatriate you or otherwise accommodate, transport or
sustain you in circumstances in which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly
for any reason. You appoint Travelrite International your attorney for this
purpose. You agree to pay Travelrite International any cost thereof and you
indemnify Travelrite in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite
advises you to obtain travel insurance generally including in respect of the
risk that any such good or service may become required.
