Day 1 Tuesday November 12, 2019 Departure, Seychelles
Today we depart Australia on our flight to the beautiful Seychelles.
Day 2 Wednesday November 13, 2019 Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles
This morning we arrive in Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles located on the island of Mahe, surrounded by jungle-clad mountains that rise from the Indian Ocean. On arrival we transfer to our hotel where the remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 3 Thursday November 14, 2019 Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles
Embarkation We have a sightseeing tour of this beautiful main island of the Seychelles before making our way to MS Boudicca for our 15-night cruise. Our ship remains in port tonight.
Day 4 Friday November 15, 2019 Seychelles
We sail from Victoria early this morning and arrive in Praslin. Praslin, both the second-largest and the second-most inhabited of the Seychelles islands, with an area of about 26km², it has around 8,000 inhabitants. The island is also the home of the legendary Coco de Mer palm tree, which grows in the Vallée de Mai National Park. The island’s beaches also rank among the most beautiful in the world. We will enjoy a sightseeing tour to Cousin Island on a private boat. On this magical island we will watch birds, be amazed by the giant Aldabra tortoises, and enjoy the lush vegetation. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner.
Day 5 Saturday November 16, 2019 At sea
The morning will be free to explore the wonderful facilities of the ship. This afternoon join us for a fun group game of bingo, with prizes for the winners.
Day 6 Sunday November 17, 2019 At sea
A day at sea to further explore the facilities of the ship. Choose from photography talks, ballroom dancing lessons, singing and language classes, theatre workshops or even watercolour tutorials.
Day 7 Monday November 18, 2019 At sea
Today we will continue to enjoy the facilities and activities available on the ship. This afternoon join us for a fun group game of bingo, with prizes for the winners.
Day 8 Tuesday November 19, 2019 Male, Maldives
Today we arrive in Male, the capital of the Maldives. With an area of less than six square kilometres and a population of about 150,000 citizens, Male is one of the world’s smallest national capitals. On our tour today, we will take a boat and cruise around some of the most spectacular islands in the Maldives. Enjoy the pristine beaches and abundant wildlife as we explore these unique islands.
Day 9 Wednesday November 20, 2019 At sea
Today we will continue to enjoy the facilities and activities available on the ship.
Day 10 Thursday November 21, 2019 Colombo, Sri Lanka
Today we arrive in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, which has a long history as a port on the ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. We travel out of Colombo to the famous Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage, an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants. See these amazing creatures that are looked after by the orphanage at all ages.
Day 11 Friday November 22, 2019 At sea
A day at sea to enjoy the facilities of the ship. Perhaps slip away with a novel from the library to a sunny chaise or just take in the sun pool side. The choice is yours.
Day 12 Saturday November 23, 2019 At sea
Why not enjoy a pampering treatment at Atlantis Spa or an invigorating walk on the ship’s open deck?
Day 13 Sunday November 24, 2019 Port Blair, India
We arrive this morning in Port Blair, surrounded by tropical forest and rugged Indian coastline, lively Port Blair is the largest city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands group. The city is an eclectic mix of Indian Ocean people – Tamils, Bengalis, Nicobarese and Burmese. Port Blair is busy, cosmopolitan and friendly, with plenty to do and see from the Tuk Tuk’s that ride around the city. The Aberdeen Bazaar forms the centre of the town, where most of the restaurants and bars can be found. We visit The Museums of Anthropology, Fishery and Naval Marine all small but interesting, while the Mini Zoo, has species that are unique to these islands. The Cellular Jail completed in 1906, is now a pristine national monument with a peaceful garden. We remain in port tonight.
Day 14 Monday November 25, 2019 Port Blair
A day at leisure to spend in Port Blair before we sail this evening.
Day 15 Tuesday November 26, 2019 At sea
You may choose to attend a guest lecture, take an art class or Pilates lesson.
Day 16 Wednesday November 27, 2019 Phuket, Thailand
Phuket, a rain forested, mountainous island in the Andaman Sea, has some of Thailand’s most popular beaches, mostly situated along the clear waters of the western shores and is home to many high-end seaside resorts. Today we will take a relaxing boat journey of Phang Nga Bay. Explore pristine beaches, islands, mangrove forests, lagoons and caves on this fantastic exploration of the bay. We will also see the famed ‘James Bond Island’ that was featured in the film the The Man with the Golden Gun.
Day 17 Thursday November 28, 2019 Phuket Disembarkation
We disembark this morning and transfer to the airport for our return flights to Australia.
Day 18 Friday November 29, 2019 Arrive Australia
Tour members arrive back in Australia. The tour concludes.
