Clothing on board Queen Mary 2

During the day casual clothing is typical, although shorts and swimwear are not permitted in the formal restaurants. During the evening on formal nights, a dinner suit or dark suit for gentlemen and eveningwear for ladies is required for the main restaurants. On informal nights, a jacket and tie is required for gentlemen and equivalent for ladies. Casual nights require a collared shirt for the gentlemen. The self-service restaurants are casual.

This morning we arrive in Dubai. We have a sightseeing tour of the city and see the modern developments that have catapulted this city into the twenty-first century over the last few years. We are then transferred to our hotel.

DAY 3 Saturday 23 March, 2019 Abu Dhabi, UAE
This morning we travel through the desert to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, to visit the newly-opened Louvre Museum. You will be amazed at the 1,800-metre dome comprised of almost 8,000 metal stars that creates a rain of light beneath the dome, as well as artworks on loan from 13 leading museums in France. In the afternoon we visit the Falcon Hospital, the world’s foremost falcon welfare institution, where you will have the opportunity to hold a falcon and visit a freeflight aviary to see them swoop through the sky.

DAY 4 Sunday 24 March, 2019 Dubai, UAE
A free day to relax in Dubai and enjoy Dubai’s reputation for fabulous shopping. This evening the group is transferred into the desert for our fantastic “dinner in the desert” We will travel by four-wheel-drive vehicles, to a location surrounded by sand dunes, where we will have a sumptuous BBQ dinner and watch traditional belly dancers.

DAY 5 Monday 25 March, 2019 Queen Mary 2
Today we have a free morning for shopping before we depart the hotel and are transferred to the port to board the magnificent Queen Mary 2. After you check into your cabin, enjoy a fantastic meal before enjoying the world-class entertainment in the royal theatre.

DAY 6 Tuesday 26 March, 2019 At sea
Our first day at sea. This evening join us for welcome drinks to celebrate the beginning of our amazing Queen Mary 2 cruise.

A day at sea is the perfect opportunity to explore the fabulous facilities of this magnificent ship.

DAY 8 Thursday 28 March, 2019 Salalah, Oman
Today we call into the port of Salalah on the frankincense coast. Oman’s second city, Salalah, is a striking change from Dubai. It catches the Indian summer monsoon and as a result it is cool, wet and green from mid-June to mid- September. We have a sightseeing tour of the area and see and smell the famed fragrance of frankincense, once a most precious export worth more than its weight in gold. Your senses will be delighted!

DAY 12 Monday 1 April, 2019 Petra, Jordan
Today we call in to the port of Aqaba, Jordan. We will have a sightseeing tour to the spectacular ancient city of Petra, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. It was carved directly from the rock by the Nabateans around 300 B.C. and is more recently known for having been filmed in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Accessed via a narrow canyon called Al Siq, it contains tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs, earning its nickname, the ‘Rose City, half as old as time’. Perhaps its most famous structure is 45m-high Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate, Greek-style facade, and known as ‘the treasury’.

DAY 13 Tuesday 2 April, 2019 Suez Canal, Egypt
Today we arrive at the entrance of the Suez Canal and take in the impressive sight of vast amount of ships waiting to enter the Suez Canal at the southern entrance on the Red Sea.

DAY 14 Wednesday 3 April, 2019 Suez Canal
Today we cruise through the Suez Canal finally arriving at Port Said at the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea.

DAY 15 Thursday 4 April, 2019 Limassol, Cyprus
Early this afternoon we arrive in Limassol, a city on the southern coast of Cyprus. We will enjoy a sight-seeing tour and visit the centuries-old Limassol Castle, home to the Cyprus Medieval Museum, and its collection of pottery and tombstones.

A day at sea to further explore and enjoy the facilities of this magnificent ship. This afternoon join us for a fun, group game of bingo.

DAY 17 Saturday 6 April, 2019 At sea
A day at sea to enjoy the facilities on board. You may like to spend the afternoon browsing the large collection of titles in the library.

DAY 18 Sunday 7 April, 2019 Rome, Italy
This morning we arrive at the port of Civitavecchia and travel by coach to Rome. We enjoy a sightseeing tour of the ‘Eternal City’. We will see the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, where group members can throw a coin and make a wish to return to Rome one day.

DAY 19 Monday 8 April, 2019 At sea
A day to enjoy the on-board facilities. Explore the library, shops, gym and pools. This afternoon, join group members for a session of Scattergories.

DAY 20 Tuesday 9 April, 2019 Barcelona, Spain
This morning we arrive in Barcelona, and enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city. Capital of Catalonia, Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain. We see the medieval Gothic Quarter, where we will see the historic cathedral and the medieval streets. The modernist Eixample district is known for the architecture of Antonio Gaudi. We see examples of Gaudi’s architecture including the famous Sagrada Familia.

A day at sea to further explore and enjoy the facilities of this magnificent ship. DAY 22 Thursday 11 April, 2019 Lisbon, Portugal This morning we arrive in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, situated on the north banks of the River Tagus. The charm of Lisbon exists in its strong links to the past, its renovated palaces, magnificent churches and an impressive castle mirror the city’s rich cultural heritage. Its eclectic blend of neighborhoods, culture and architecture distinguish this capital city uniquely from the other European capitals and make it a truly fascinating and comprehensive city to visit. On our sightseeing today we will get a taste of the heritage of this great, medieval city after which we will visit the historic town of Sintra. We visit the Royal Palace in Sintra and see monuments dating back to the voyages of discovery.

DAY 24 Saturday 13 April, 2019 At sea
A day at sea to further explore and enjoy the facilities of this magnificent ship. Relax on board as we cruise across the Bay of Biscay and into the English Channel.

DAY 25 Sunday 14 April, 2019 London, England
This morning we arrive in Southampton, England. After breakfast we visit Windsor Castle, before we travel on to London. Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, and is the official residence of Her Majesty the Queen. Built over 900 years ago, the castle’s floor covers a massive 44,500 square metres. Upon arrival in London we are transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is free for individual activity. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate our fabulous cruise.

DAY 26 Monday 15 April, 2019 Departure
A free day to explore London. Visit some of the many sites in this historic city. In the early evening the group will be transferred to the airport for the flight back to Australia.

International touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.

Tour Operator

Travelrite International Pty Ltd (ABN 64 005 817 078, ATAS 10538) is the tour organiser. Queen Mary 2 is operated by Cunard Line Limited and the Queen Mary 2 fly/cruise arrangements are subject to the terms and conditions and general information detailed in the 2016 Cunard brochure for Queen Mary 2. All passengers must complete the Cunard Cruise Personaliser and the Travelrite International booking form.

Deposit and Payment

A deposit of $1000 per passenger should be sent with a completed Travelrite International booking form that lists your requested cabin category. As soon as the booking is confirmed, (usually within 24 hours), a cruise confirmation advice will be posted to the client. The passenger must also complete and return a Cunard reservation form to TravelriteInternational. Final payments are due to be paid to Travelrite International 90 days prior to the commencement of the Queen Mary 2 fly/cruise. A 1.5 per cent administration fee will be added to payments by Visa or Mastercard and 3 per cent for payment by AMEX or Diners Club cards.

The cruise is based on arrangements which do not allow for any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other services not utilised after the tour has commenced.

Travel Documents

All passengers will require a valid passport. If not an Australian passport holder check with Travelrite International for visa requirements.

Travel Insurance

Adequate travel insurance is highly recommended to cover cruise members for the consequences of unforeseen events during the cruise and for cancellation fees which could result from events such as illness, accident, death etc.


Passengers qualify for a 20kg free baggage allowance on flights to join or return from the cruise.

Minimum Tour Numbers

The cruise arrangements have been made on the basis of a minimum number of passengers travelling. In the event that less than the required number of passengers have confirmed their booking 60 days from the date of departure, Travelrite International reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of monies paid, or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified fare.

Tour Costs

The tour costs are based on airfare, shipping, general transport, accommodation costs and foreign exchange rates at 8/1/2016. Travelrite International reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to price will be made within 90 days of departure from Australia.

Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.


Travelrite International Pty Ltd is the tour organiser. Travelrite International Pty Ltd, its agents, officers, affiliates, and/or suppliers of services pursuant to, or in connection with these fly/cruises, shall act only as agents in making arrangements for hotels, transportation, including transportation by ship, restaurants, or any other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence or a default of any hotel, carrier restaurant company or person rendering any services included in fly/cruises, or by act of God. Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omission, delays, re-routing or acts of any government authority. Baggage is at owners’ risk throughout the fly/cruise. The passage contract between the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of this fly/cruise and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any fly/cruise and/or make such changes in the fly/cruises as may be found desirable or necessary for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying out of the fly/cruise. This contract shall be construed in accordance of the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia and any action must be taken in the State of Victoria. Attention is also directed to the terms and conditions of the Queen Mary 2 fly/cruise passage contract with Cunard Line Limited, detailed on the back of the Cunard reservation form.
