DAY 1 Saturday 4 October 2025
Hobart
Today we arrive in Hobart to commence the
tour. We will meet at the airport following
our respective flights. We will be taken to
our accommodation for the next two nights.
Upon arrival there will be welcome drinks to
get to know each other.
DAY 2 Sunday 5 October 2025
Hobart
Today we visit the Tasmania Transport
Museum, which showcases a fascinating
collection of historic vehicles, including
trains, trams, buses, and other transport
artifacts, offering a glimpse into Tasmania’s
rich transportation history. We will then have
time for lunch before we transfer to The
Wooden Boat Centre Tasmania. The Wooden Boat Centre is a unique
workshop and museum dedicated to
preserving the art of traditional wooden boat
building, offering hands-on experiences and
insights into Tasmania’s maritime heritage.
We will get a private tour followed by a
demonstration on how timber is bent to build
their boats.
DAY 3 Monday 6 October 2025
Strahan
Today we will leave Hobart and travel to
Strahan. Along the way we will stop for lunch
at Hamilton bistro (own expense) as well as a stop at Derwent bridge where we will
visit ‘The Wall’. The Wall is an impressive art
installation featuring intricate wood carvings
that depict the history and people of
Tasmania, beautifully sculpted into a massive
timber wall. Once we arrive in Strahan you
will have a free afternoon to explore.
DAY 4 Tuesday 7 October 2025
Strahan
This morning we will enjoy a spectacular
journey on the West Coast Railway. This
offers a scenic journey through rugged
landscapes and dense rainforests, powered
by historic steam locomotives that celebrate
the region’s rich mining and railway heritage.
Following the rail journey the rest of the
afternoon will be free. In the evening from
5:30pm we will watch the comedy play “The
ship that never was”. Australia’s longest
running play performing in Strahan since
1994, it tells the hilarious true story about the
last Great Escape from Sarah Island.
DAY 5 Wednesday 8 October 2025
Burnie
This morning, we leave Strahan by coach to
travel to Burnie. Along the way we will stop
for a coffee. We will then travel to Wynyard
to see the Ransley Veteran Car Collection,
home to a world-class historic car collection,
including the equal oldest Ford in the world.
There will be time for lunch after which we
enjoy a tour and some tastings at Hallers
distillery, Australia’s oldest distillery. You
will also be able to seal your own bottle of
whiskey to take home.
DAY 6 Thursday 9 October 2025
Launceston
This morning, we board the Don River
Railway, a half an hour return train journey
from Don. We will be able to relax with
a train trip on the historic Melrose Line,
taking in views of the township of Don and
areas of historic value to the area. After
the conclusion of the ride, we will also
visit the museum and workshop which has
heritage locomotives and carriages on display. Afterwards we will have a break
for lunch. In the afternoon we will visit
Longford. Longford holds a significant
place in Australian motorsport history
as it was home to the Longford Circuit, a
renowned street racing track that hosted
major events from 1953 to 1968, including
the Australian Grand Prix and the Tasman
Series, attracting legendary drivers like Jack
Brabham, Jim Clark, and Bruce McLaren.
We will see where the track used to run and
will visit the pub which contains a museum
and old racing car. We then check into our
accommodation in Launceston.
DAY 7 Friday 10 October 2025
Launceston
This morning, we visit the National
Automobile Museum of Tasmania. The
National Automobile Museum of Tasmania
showcases a remarkable collection of
vintage cars, motorcycles, and memorabilia,
celebrating the evolution of automotive
history in Australia and beyond. After lunch
we visit Pearn’s Steam World in Westbury,
the biggest collection of steam engines in
the Southern Hemisphere. There is also a
motor trash and treasure shop outside which
we will visit. Following this we will head back to Launceston where we will have a free
afternoon to explore. You may like to check
out Queen Vic Museum which gives an
amazing perspective of local history.
DAY 8 Saturday 11 October 2025
Launceston
This morning we will visit the infamous
Beaconsfield mine. The Beaconsfield Mine
& Heritage Centre offers an interactive
journey through Tasmania’s mining history,
featuring engaging exhibits and artifacts
from the town’s gold mining era, including
the dramatic 2006 mine rescue story. Then
we will visit a private collection enabling
us to see many classic automobiles.
After a break for lunch we will also visit
Richardson’s Harley Museum. The museum
follows the history and life of the Harley
Davidson® family and business and contains
a 1900s A6 Flannery-Harley-Gallion Co.
pushbike, one of only a few examples left in
the world as well as a 1940 Ex-Army Indian
Scout and replica garage set out. Following
this we will have an included group farewell
dinner to celebrate a great trip.
DAY 9 Sunday 12 October 2025

Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.
Tour Operator: Travelrite International Pty Ltd (ABN 64 005 817 078) (ATAS A10538) is the tour operator.
Tour Costs: The tour costs are based on general transport, entry, and accommodation costs. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to price will be made within 45 days of departure.
Deposit and Payment: A deposit of $750 per passenger for is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 60 days before departure for the Tour. Payment may be made by cheque or cash a 1.5% administration fee will be charged on payments made by credit cards.
Cancellation: Cancellations received in writing 61 or more days from the date of departure will result in deposit being refunded. Cancellations received 60 or fewer days before departure will result in a loss of all monies paid.
Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellation fees due to illness, death in family, etc.
Minimum Tour Numbers and Conditions: The tour has been priced on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 45 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost.
Tour Organisation: Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised entrances if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.
Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements that do not allow for any
refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals, airfare or other
services not utilized after the tour has commenced.
Baggage: Due to coach restrictions, tour members can only bring one large suitcase.
TOUR PARTICIPATION:
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.

Travelrite acts only as an agent in the making of arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants or any other service and does not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence or a default of any hotel, carrier restaurant company or person rendering any services included in the tour, or by act of God. Further no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omission, delays, re-routing or acts of any government authority. The passage contract between the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of this tour and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour and/or make such changes in the tour as may be found desirable or necessary for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying out of the tour. This contract shall be construed in accordance of the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be undertaken in the State of Victoria.
DELAYS AND UNFORESEEN EVENTS:
You engage Travelrite International
to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite
International acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts
between you and the various providers of accommodation, transportation
and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite International may
without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may as your
agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you, any good
or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is necessary
for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you or otherwise
accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in which the
tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint Travelrite
International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite International in
respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite advises you to obtain
travel insurance generally including in respect of the risk that any such good
or service may become required.
