Zürich
This morning, join our local guide and ride Zürich’s
iconic trams on a city tour. Start by wandering
the Old Town to see the imposing cathedral of
Grossmünster, the castle-like National Museum,
and the shopping avenue of Bahnhofstrasse. Later, enjoy beautiful vistas of Lake Zürich, see
the Opera House and many Swiss banks, and
wander the Zürichberg district to admire glorious
mansions. Enjoy free time for lunch and explore.

Montreux – Château de Chillon
After a breakfast, hop on board the worldrenowned
and super-efficient Swiss rail system
for a journey past vineyards on Lake Neuchâtel
onward to Montreux on Lake Geneva. Known for
its jazz festival, this lakeside resort town has been
a magnet for the rich and famous for over 150
years. This afternoon, tour the fairy-tale Château de Chillon and wander along the lake to see the
statue of Freddie Mercury. Later, enjoy a train ride
to the Lavaux vineyards to try some of the region’s
wines and return to Montreux for a cheese fondue

Montreux – Gruyères
This morning, we travel through picturesque
rolling hills on the Chocolate Train to sample
the country’s famous Swiss chocolate! You
will travel in the stately Belle Époque Pullman
1915 first-class vintage railcars and wander
the cobblestone streets of the 13th-century
medieval town of Gruyères. While here, you’ll
tour the towns château, try some cheese at La
Maison du Gruyère and stop by the bar of the
surreal HR Giger Museum. Finish at Maison
Cailler Chocolate factory in nearby Broc to learn
about, and sample some Swiss treats! Return to

Bern
This morning, we’ll travel on a classic early 20th-century GoldenPass Belle Époque train from Montreux to the glitzy Gstaad. The vintage train, with its luxurious first-class railcars offer superb views of traditional farmhouses, colourful wildflower meadows and grazing cows. Keep an eye out for Heidi! Change trains, and travel past the scenic Lake Thun to Bern. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, and stroll through the medieval Old Town to see the Zytglogge clock tower, the Gothic cathedral and the Bern Bear Park. Lucerne
This morning, travel by rail to Lucerne to see it’s beautiful lake surrounded by soaring mountains, the 14th-century Kapellbrücke wooden chapel bridge and the old town with its medieval towers. You will also visit the Swiss Museum of Transport for look at the development of transport and mobility on road, rail, water, and air. Later, you’ll ride the world’s steepest cogwheel railway past alpine forests, green meadows and rock faces to the summit of Mt Pilatus. Rail enthusiasts are in for a treat today! After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Lucerne to Vitznau to ride Europe’s first mountain railway, the Mt Rigi Bahn for breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views. Enjoy some free time for lunch at the summit, and enjoy a cogwheel journey downhill to Arth-Goldau. Continue on, and take the train to Erstfeld and tour the old train depot to see the CE 6/8 “crocodile” locomotive and other locos. Return to Lucerne for dinner in the old town. Interlaken – Jungfraujoch Railway
This morning, continue on the panoramic GoldenPass railway passing the shimmering Sarnersee and Lungernsee lakes and over the Brünig Pass before descending to Interlaken. Check into your hotel, and take the train to the dramatic Lauterbrunnen Valley before taking the Wengernalp cogwheel railway, the longest continuous rack railway in the world to Kleine Scheidegg – where you can sometimes see yodelling, St Bernard dogs and alpine horns being played! Interlaken
This morning, you’ll take the train to the town of Brienz for a nostalgic ride on the historic Rothorn Bahn Steam Railway to enjoy spectacular views of the Bernese Oberland Alps and free time to explore. Return to Brienz and travel via ferry along the turquoise Lake Brienz back to Interlaken for a free afternoon. Options include wandering the tourist friendly town, taking the train to the pretty town of Mürren to ride the cable car to Schilthorn Mountain to see the revolving Piz Gloria restaurant, where the James Bond’s movie ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ was filmed in 1969. Zermatt
This morning, we’ll travel through the Kaunertal Valley and the 15-kilometre long Lötschberg Tunnel – at an elevation of 1,240m, it’s the highest point of a tunnel on the Swiss railway network. On arrival in Brig, you’ll transfer by train to Realp for a ride in first-class carriages on the historic Furka steam mountain railway. Harking back to the golden age of steam railways in Switzerland, travel through magnificent mountain landscapes of the Central Alps to Oberwald. This morning, we depart early on the world-famous Glacier Express – the jewel in the crown of Switzerland’s train trips and one of the world’s great rail journeys. With its views of rugged cliffs, glacial mountain lakes and picture-perfect villages, it is also known as ‘slowest express train in the world’ as it takes 8 hours to travel 291 kilometres. Chur – Bernina Express – St Moritz
This morning, you will cross the Alps on one of the most spectacular railway journeys in the world – the Bernina Express. En route, you’ll pass by glaciers on the journey to the sunny town of Tirano in northern Italy. Roll over the Rhaetian Railways’ signature 65-metre-high Landwasser Viaduct and through 55 tunnels and over 196 bridges. En route, you’ll see the Morteratsch Glacier, beautiful lakes, the Poschiavo Valley, Alp Grüm village and the Brusio Circular Viaduct. Spend some time in Tirano in Italy and return via local rail, stopping at the famous St Moritz to explore the town before arriving back in Chur in the early evening. Lugano
This morning, we leave early on the Rhätische Bahn, travelling in a panoramic train to the lakeside spa town of Arosa, over the Langwieser Viaduct and via the Grisons Alps. Later, we take the train to the mountain-rimmed lake town of Lugano in the Italian region of Switzerland. With its historic city centre, the Piazza della Riforma with its cafés and bistros, Lugano has plenty of sights to see. Wander the town on arrival, through the spaghetti maze of steep cobblestone streets slipping down to the lake and along the promenade to enjoy dinner in the sunny, Mediterranean esque centre. Lugano – Locarno – Centovalli Railway
Today, you’ll take a train to Bellinzona to see its medieval castles and to Locarno, with its palm trees, glittering lake and Renaissance old town. Wander the town on arrival, before jumping aboard the Centovalli Railway. This three-hour dinky train ride travels along the shores of Lake Maggiore to Domodossala in Italy, clattering across 83 bridges and through 34 tunnels, past hillside vineyards, arched viaducts and tiny hamlets. You’ll stop at Camedo for lunch, dining in an old train depot, before returning to Lugano via northern Italy for a farewell dinner of Swiss Italian pizza, pasta and wine! Gotthard Tunnel to Zürich Airport / Fly Home
This morning, we take the Gotthard Panorama Express from Lugano via the 15-kilometre-long Gotthard Tunnel, which was built in 1882 and was once the longest tunnel in the world, to Arth Goldau and Zug en route to the Zürich Airport. Enjoy more stunning scenery as you travel on your last train ride in Switzerland. Arrive at the Zürich airport in the late morning for flight departures after 3:00pm. (B)

Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.

Tour Costs: The tours costs are based on transport, accommodation costs and entrance costs at 20 February 2025. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to costings will be made within 60 days of departure.
Deposit and Payment: A non-refundable deposit of $900 per passenger is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 60 days before departure. A 1.5% administration charge will be added to payment by Visa, Mastercard and America Express.
Cancellations: Cancellations within 60 days prior to departure will result in the loss of all monies paid. Cancellations outside of 60 days prior to departure will result in the loss of the deposit paid per person. Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellation fees due to illness, death in family, etc.
Changes To The Tour Itinerary: Travelrite International reserves the right to make changes to the tour itinerary to it in with operational requirements. Any changes to the itinerary will be replaced with similar arrangements with an equal or greater value.
Minimum Tour Numbers: The tour has been costed on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 60 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost if the minimum number is not achieved.
Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements which do not allow for
any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other
services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
Baggage: All passengers qualify for 1 piece free baggage allowance.
Tour Organisation: Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised entrances if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.

Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.
Responsibility: Travelrite International Pty Ltd. is the tour organiser. Travelrite International acts only as agents in making of arrangements with carriers, hoteliers and others for the tour. As a result, we cannot accept liability for any act or omission whatsoever, whether negligent or otherwise of those carriers, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with the tour over whom we have no direct or exclusive control. We do not accept responsibility for any injury, damage, loss, delay, change of schedule or any other events which are beyond our direct control, such as, but not limited to, war, flood, fire, civil disturbance, acts of God, acts of government, or any other authorities, terrorism, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment, or industrial action. The passage contract in use by the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the transportation companies or firms and the purchasers of these tours and the passengers. International acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts

may without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may
as your agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you,
any good or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is
necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you
or otherwise accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in
which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint
Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite
