Seoul
Depart Australia on your flight to Seoul. Upon
arrival, transfer to our tour hotel. Your adventure
begins South Korea’s vibrant capital with a metro
population of 26 million and full of high-tech
gadgetry, soaring skyscrapers and delicious
food. Meet at the group hotel at 6pm, and visit
the Insadong entertainment district for a group
welcome dinner of Korean hotpot – a delicious
favourite full of mixed vegetables, meat and

DAY 2 Thursday 26 March 2026
Seoul
This morning, you’ll travel on Seoul’s modern
and immense network of subway trains and visit
Yeouido Park, which features over 2,000 Yoshino
cherry trees, plus tulips, azaleas, and forsythia
and tour the cherry tree filled Gyeongbokgung
Palace. Visit the home of Daniel Gray – the food
expert from Netflix’s Street Food Asia Seoul
to learn about Korean food history and enjoy a home cooked lunch. Later, see traditional hanok
houses in Bukhcon and wander the Cheong-gyecheon
Stream, a meeting place for locals. Finish
at the Gwangjang Night Market to try some street

DAY 3 Friday 27 March 2026
Seoul / DMZ
This morning, travel on the DMZ Train Line to
the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), disembarking
at Dorasan Station where the South and North
Korean rail systems once connected. Peer across
the border to catch glimpses of the North Korean
villages and visit Imjingak Park to see steam
locomotives, tanks and aircraft once used in
the Korean War. Enjoy lunch while talking to a
North Korean defector, and tour the Hwarangdae
Railway Park to see old locos, a rail museum
before relaxing in their train café. Later, visit the
beautiful Seoul Forest Park, a peaceful oasis and
smothered in pink cherry blossoms during spring.

DAY 4 Saturday 28 March 2026
Gangneung
This morning, we’ll have an early start for the
A-Train aka Jeongseon Arirang Train bound for
Jeongseon. The A-Train has four themed carriages
with large panoramic windows and glass walls –
each of them decorated in different colours and
motifs. While in Jeongseon, tour the Arirang 5-day
market to see what local farmers and artisans have
in season and enjoy lunch. Arrive at the coastal
city of Gangneung and ride on the quaint and
quirky Jeongdongjin Rail Bikes alongside railway
tracks and the scenic coastline. Return to town
and enjoy dinner together in a local restaurant.

DAY 5 Sunday 29 March 2026
Gangneung
After breakfast, we’ll visit Gyeongpo Lake, where
pink and white-blossoming trees line the lakeside
path during springtime. Later, travel to Sokcho
to explore their vibrant Jungang market and visit
Abai – a small island village where you’ll visit a
family home of North Korean refugees and enjoy a home cooked lunch of giant dumplings. Head to Seoraksan National Park which is a whimsical place to visit during spring, when cherry blossoms take over the mountains. Upon arrival, ride a cable car to Gwongeumseong Fortress Peak to see the Sinheungsa Buddha statue before returning to your hotel. Overnight: Avvio Hotel, Gangneung (B,L)
DAY 6 Monday 30 March 2026 Andong
This morning, we’ll travel on the festive Sea Train aka the East Sea and Santa Village Train! The train is famous for its unique holiday cheer and the spectacular views of the coastline. Purchase lunch at your own cost and change trains to ride on the spectacular Baekdudaegan Mountain Canyon V-Train, a heritage train from the 1970s. Arrive at the delightful traditional riverside Andong Hahoe Folk Village and check into different authentic hanoks (traditional Korean houses) in the town. Enjoy dinner with your hosts in this UNESCO World Heritage site and try Andong’s favourite dishes. Overnight: Hanok Traditional Houses, Andong (B,D)
DAY 7 Tuesday 31 March 2026 Gyeongju
After breakfast, you’ll wander the quaint settlement of Anhong to see traditional residences with tiled or thatched roofs, old pavilions and experience the gentle rhythms of countryside village life. Visit the Hahoe Mask Museum, enjoy a traditional lunch and travel by train to the historical town of Gyeongju. Known as the Golden City and ‘the museum without walls’, the town has more tombs, temples, Buddhist statues and palace ruins than any other place in the country. Upon arrival, visit the dazzling Donggung Palace which is mirrored in the Wolji Pond and enjoy dinner together. Overnight: GG Tourist Hotel, Gyeongju (B L,D)
DAY 8 Wednesday 1 April 2026 Busan
This morning, you will enjoy the annual Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Festival while touring the royal tombs, burial tomb complexes and temples in the city. Enjoy lunch and travel to Jinhae, one of South Korea’s most famous springtime towns. Almost 400,000 cherry trees are planted throughout the town, making it a fairy tale come to life. Stroll along the Yeojwacheon stream, with its canopy of blossoms over the water, then visit Gyeonghwa Station to ride the specially chartered “cherry blossom heritage train”. DAY 9 Thursday 2 April 2026 Busan
This morning, you’ll discover the Gamcheon Culture Village, with its brightly painted terraced houses and twisted labyrinth-like alleys decorated with murals and sculptures. Visit the blossom filled Haedong Temple by the sea, enjoy a seafood lunch before talking with the courageous female Haenyeo divers. Travel on the retro Haeundae Sky Capsule Train and the Haeundae Beach Train – the world’s first battery-charged eco-friendly train, which both operate along the old Donghae Nambu Railway Line. DAY 10 Friday 3 April 2026 Gwangju
This morning, you’ll ride the Busan-Seoul KTX bullet train, hoping off at Osong before continuing by train to Gwangju. Upon arrival, tour the May 18th Democratic Uprising Cemetery Museum and take a walk along Chungjang-ro Street, the city’s premier fashion district where you’ll have free time for lunch. Later, enjoy a local train ride to the Seomjingang Train Village in the town of Gokseong. See a few old steam locomotives and board a steam engine train and enjoy the scenic view of lush greenery and springtime flowers while you ride. Check into your hotel for a free evening. DAY 11 Saturday 4 April 2026 Gwangju
After breakfast, travel along the scenic Metasequoia Road, full of spring cherry trees to Damyang. Upon arrival, explore the serene Juknokwon Bamboo Forest, known for its towering green bamboo groves and peaceful walking trails. Enjoy a group lunch and travel to the spectacular Naejangsan National Park, one of the best places to see the springtime cherry blossoms and azaleas in South Korea. Upon arrival, wander the park and enjoy a cable car ride over the top of the most wonderful kaleidoscope of colours. Return to Gwangju for a free evening. DAY 12 Sunday 5 April 2026 Jeonju
This morning after breakfast, you’ll board the
S Train aka the Namdo Train bound for Suncheon. The train, which is colourfully painted in blue, pink and orange shades have five themed cars set up for family occasions, tea drinking and party events! Arrive in Suncheon, visit the Naganeupseong Folk Village and enjoy lunch. Surrounded by high walls, the village is Korea’s best-preserved fortress town with traditional houses lining the narrow alleyways. Later, continue by train to the town of Jeonju where you’ll check into your hotel and enjoy dinner at a traditional bibimbap restaurant. Overnight: Ggotshim Hotel, Jeonju (B,L,D)
DAY 13 Monday 6 April 2026 Jeonju
This morning, step back in time as we explore the Jeonju Hanok Village. The village is made up of over 800 traditional Korean houses which are known for their beautiful carved roofs. Wander the cobblestone streets in the old town and visit a renowned local noodle restaurant for lunch and afterwards, learn the art of making kimchi during a cooking demonstration. You will also visit Jaman Village to see the eclectic and colourful murals that adorn the walls of this shantytown and visit the Gyeonggijeon Temple. DAY 14 Tuesday 7 April 2026 Seoul
This morning, you will ride the 305 km/hr KTX bullet train back to Seoul, travelling past dramatic landscapes, majestic mountain passes and endless rice paddies. Disembark, enjoy lunch together and tour the Korail Railroad Museum to see steam locomotives, a presidential train carriage, a coach that was used by the UN forces stationed in Korea and a narrow-gauge boxcar. Take a metro line back to Seoul and tour Deoksugung Palace. Enjoy a farewell dinner, and finish by wandering the Dongdaemun Night Market for a cultural experience like no other. Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.

Tour Costs:
The tour costs are based on transportation, accommodation
costs, entrance costs and the exchange rate as at 12 February
2025. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors
change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw
with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations
to costings will be made within 60 days of departure.
Deposit and Payment:
A non-refundable deposit of $900 per
passenger is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be
required 60 days before departure. A 1.5% administration charge will
be added to payment by Visa, Mastercard and America Express.
Cancellations:
Cancellations within 60 days prior to departure will
result in the loss of all monies paid. Cancellations outside of 60 days
prior to departure will result in the loss of the deposit paid per person.
Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellation fees
due to illness, death in family, etc.
Changes To The Tour Itinerary:
Travelrite International reserves
the right to make changes to the tour itinerary to fit in with operational
requirements. Any changes to the itinerary will be replaced with similar
arrangements with an equal or greater value.
Minimum Tour Numbers:
The tour has been costed on the basis
of a minimum number of passengers having booked 60 days prior to
departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full
refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour
at a modified cost if the minimum number is not achieved.
Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements which do not allow for
any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other
services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
Baggage:
All passengers qualify for 1 piece free baggage allowance.
TOUR PARTICIPATION:
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.
Responsibility:
Travelrite International Pty Ltd. is the tour organiser.
Travelrite International acts only as agents in making of arrangements
with carriers, hoteliers and others for the tour. As a result, we cannot
accept liability for any act or omission whatsoever, whether negligent or
otherwise of those carriers, hoteliers or other persons providing services
in connection with the tour over whom we have no direct or exclusive
control. We do not accept responsibility for any injury, damage, loss,
delay, change of schedule or any other events which are beyond our direct
control, such as, but not limited to, war, flood, fire, civil disturbance,
acts of God, acts of government, or any other authorities, terrorism,
accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment, or industrial action.
The passage contract in use by the carriers concerned, when issued, shall
constitute the sole contract between the transportation companies or
firms and the purchasers of these tours and the passengers. Baggage
is at own risk throughout the tour. The contract shall be construed in
accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria and any legal action
must be undertaken in the State of Victoria.
DELAYS AND UNFORESEEN EVENTS:
You engage Travelrite International
to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite
International acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts
between you and the various providers of accommodation,
transportation and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite
International may without reference to you provide or make available
to you, or may as your agent engage any third party to provide or make
available to you, any good or service which Travelrite International
reasonably believes is necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour
itinerary, repatriate you or otherwise accommodate, transport or
sustain you in circumstances in which the tour itinerary fails wholly or
partly for any reason. You appoint Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay Travelrite International any cost
thereof and you indemnify Travelrite International in respect of any cost
it incurs in this regard. Travelrite International advises you to obtain
travel insurance generally including in respect of the risk that any such
good or service may become required.
