Port Augusta
This morning, head north through scenic
countryside to the Georgian-style Martindale
Hall. Built in 1879, this grand country mansion,
coach house and stables were constructed by
wealthy pastoralists and represents the baronial
lifestyle achieved by them. Tour the hall, before
arriving in the Clare Valley wine region where
you will enjoy a sumptuous lunch. Pause for a
photo stop at the ‘Midnight Oil House’, an old
homestead near Burra, famous for being on the
cover of Midnight Oil’s 1987 hit album “Diesel
and Dust” and arrive at Port Augusta in the late

DAY 3 Saturday 13 September 2025
Afghan Express – Port Augusta
This morning, you will see the rugged Flinders
Ranges landscape unfold before you on a
full-day Afghan Express return train journey
from Port Augusta to the historic railway town
of Quorn. Travelling on the original Ghan
steam locomotive NM25 and genuine timber
bodied carriages built in the late 1920s, you
will traverse the old Ghan route past red earth
and bluebush plains and over the Pichi Richi
Pass with its rocky outcrops, dry riverbeds
and beautiful hilly scenery. Enjoy two hours of
free time for lunch at Quorn and return to Port

DAY 4 Sunday 14 September 2025
Pichi Richi Railway – Quorn
Enjoy some free time this morning before
touring the Wadlata Outback Centre which has
unique exhibits offering a journey through the history of the Outback. Drive to Quorn where
you’ll enjoy lunch. Later, take a ride on the
privately chartered Pichi Richi Railway heritage
train and travel on the original Ghan route,
stopping for photos, sampling High Tea served
in a bush setting and finish with a railway
workshop tour. In the evening, you’ll visit the
railway precinct to experience the Quorn Silo
Light Show, a starlit audiovisual celebration of
the Flinders Ranges and the Pichi Richi Railway.

DAY 5 Monday 15 September 2025
Hawker – Wilpena Pound
This morning after breakfast, travel by coach
to Hawker and visit the old Hawker Railway
Station, which was completed in 1885 and was used on the Ghan train line to Marree, tour the
Jeff Morgan Gallery to see painted panoramas
of the Flinders Ranges, model cars, rock
collections and memorabilia, and enjoy free
time for lunch. Continue onto Wilpena Pound in
the heart of the Flinders Ranges, arriving in the
late afternoon. Check in and enjoy dinner in the
grounds of your resort.

DAY 6 Tuesday 16 September 2025
Wilpena Pound
After breakfast, you’ll explore the area’s
big-ticket drawcard, the enormous natural
amphitheatre of mountains – the spectacular
Wilpena Pound. Start by visiting the heritage
listed Old Wilpena Station Historic Precinct,
visit a few scenic lookouts before returning to
your resort for lunch and some free time. Laze
by the pool or take a scenic flight over Wilpena
Pound, at your own cost before taking a sunset
trip to Stokes Hill which offers 360-degree
views of the surrounding Flinders Ranges with
panoramic views of Wilpena Pound. Enjoy
some sunset drinks and return to your resort for

Peterborough
This morning, travel in 4WDs through the
stunning Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges, full
of natural beauty and home to rock wallabies,
kangaroos and emus. Travel to Hawker and
enjoy lunch in the Old Ghan Restaurant and
Gallery and arrive in Peterborough. On arrival,
tour the Steamtown Heritage Rail Museum to
get an insight into historic steam and diesel
locomotives. Later, enjoy a Sound & Light Show while sitting in a restored 1916 historic rail
carriage which is placed on a turntable, while
you move through the tunnels of time, to learn

Moonta Mines Railway – Barossa Valley
This morning, travel south west to the former
mining town of Moonta for a ride on the Mines
Railway where passengers are taken past
many historic landmarks of the former mining
operations, including the reservoir, ore sorting
floors, and through a tunnel in Ryans Tailings
Heap. Enjoy free time for lunch, and travel to
the Barossa Valley, renowned by many as one
of the world’s greatest wine regions. Check into
your hotel in Tanunda and enjoy free time for

Barossa Valley
Enjoy a free morning, before embarking on
a half day food and wine tour of the Barossa
Valley. Start your tour at the elegant grounds
of Château Tanunda to try their acclaimed
Chardonnay and enjoy lunch, visit the iconic
Henschke winery, which is known for their
world-class Shiraz and finish at the historic
Seppeltsfield Winery. Return to your hotel
where your evening is free to wander the
historic town of Tanunda to explore heritage
buildings or wine and dine at a local restaurant.

Heritage tram ride – Railway Museum – Hahndorf
This morning, travel to the St Kilda Tram
Museum and take a privately chartered ride on
their heritage trams to learn about the history
of Adelaide’s tram network. Enjoy free time at
lunch and arrive at Australia’s largest railway
museum in Port Adelaide where you will tour
the museum to see locomotives and railway
carriages. Reach Hahndorf in the Adelaide
Hills in the late afternoon and learn about
Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement.
Wander the bustling main street to see German
influenced bakeries, pubs, restaurants, cafes

HighLander steam train – Cockle Train – Adelaide
This morning, we travel to the depot of the
SteamRanger Heritage Railway in Mt Barker
to enjoy a ride on the New Highlander steam
locomotive through the Mt Lofty Ranges to the
historic township of Strathalbyn. Later, reach
Goolwa and board the famous Cockle Train and
travel along the Encounter Bay coast to Victor
Harbor. Upon arrival, enjoy free time for lunch
and take a ride on one of very few horse-drawn
tram routes remaining in public transit service
in the world. Return to Adelaide and ride the
historic Glenelg tram, the only tram line to
survive in the city for your farewell dinner at

Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.

Tour Costs: The tours costs are based on transport, accommodation costs and entrance costs at 4 December 2024. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to costings will be made within 60 days of departure.
Deposit and Payment: A non-refundable deposit of $900 per passenger is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 60 days before departure. A 1.5% administration charge will be added to payment by Visa, Mastercard and America Express.
Cancellations: Cancellations within 60 days prior to departure will result in the loss of all monies paid. Cancellations outside of 60 days prior to departure will result in the loss of the deposit paid per person. Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellation fees due to illness, death in family, etc.
Changes to The Tour Itinerary: Travelrite International reserves the right to make changes to the tour itinerary to fit in with operational requirements. Any changes to the itinerary will be replaced with similar arrangements with an equal or greater value.
Minimum Tour Numbers: The tour has been costed on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 60 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost if the minimum number is not achieved.
Tour Organisation: Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised entrances if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.
Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements which do not allow for
any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other
services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
Baggage: All passengers qualify for 1 piece free baggage allowance.

Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.
Responsibility: Travelrite International Pty Ltd. is the tour organiser. Travelrite International acts only as agents in making of arrangements with carriers, hoteliers and others for the tour. As a result, we cannot accept liability for any act or omission whatsoever, whether negligent or otherwise of those carriers, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with the tour over whom we have no direct or exclusive control. to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite
International acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts
between you and the various providers of accommodation, transport
ation and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite International
may without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may as
your agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you,
any good or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is
necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you
or otherwise accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in
which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint
Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite
International in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite
International advises you to obtain travel insurance generally including
in respect of the risk that any such good or service may become required.
