DAY 1 Tuesday 14 October 2025
Sydney to Coffs Harbour
Today group members depart Sydney Central Station early morning on
our XPT train journey to Coffs Harbour. Please talk to your consultant if
you would like us to arrange pre tour accommodation. We arrive mid
afternoon and check into our hotel. This evening we enjoy an included
Welcome Dinner.
DAY 2 Wednesday 15 October 2025
Coffs Harbour
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Coffs Harbour and the
surrounding region. We will see some of the spectacular beaches and
marine conservation areas that Coffs Harbour is famous for. We will
see the Solitary Islands Marine Park and walk out to Muttonbird Island.
Surrounded by ocean sparkling in shades of blue, the island affords views
of the Coffs Coast and hinterland from a unique, off-shore perspective.
In the afternoon we travel inland to Sealy Lookout in Orara East State
Forest and stop at the Coffs Harbour landmark the ‘Big Banana’.
DAY 3 Thursday 16 October 2025
Armidale
After breakfast, we depart the North Coast and travel through the
Cathedral Rock National Park to Armidale. Dubbed the Cathedral City,
Armidale in the New England High Country, is one of Australia’s most
elegant regional cities. On arrival, enjoy a panoramic tour of Armidale.
We will see its grand cathedrals and colonial buildings in green, tree
lined streets.
DAY 4 Friday 17 October 2025
Tamworth
This morning we take the North West Xplorer Train to Tamworth,
Australia’s country music capital. On arrival, we visit Tamworth’s excellent
Australian Country Music Hall of Fame. This museum includes stage
outfits worn by the stars of Australian country music, and fascinating
items like the Panther motorcycle Geoff Mack (who wrote the song I’ve
Been Everywhere) and his wife, Tabbi, rode from London to Australia,
in 1954, and the cheap guitar Kasey Chambers took to South Africa
(on holiday with her mum, in 2001), and with which she wrote several
of her hit songs, including The Captain. We continue sightseeing this
afternoon stopping at the Big Golden Guitar Tourist Centre, Oxley Scenic
Lookout and the Botanical Gardens.
DAY 5 Saturday 18 October 2025
Tamworth
A free day in Tamworth. You may wish to stroll along the Country Music
Pioneers Parade in Bicentennial Park and view the busts of our country
music legends.
DAY 6 Sunday 19 October 2025
Dubbo
This morning we travel, via the New England Highway to Dubbo. In the
heart of the beautiful Macquarie Valley, Dubbo is a vibrant regional city
by the majestic Macquarie River. On arrival, we visit the Royal Flying
Doctor Experience where we discover the stories and challenges of the
nurses, doctors and pilots servicing 7.69 million square kilometres of
outback Australia.
DAY 7 Monday 20 October 2025
Orange
This morning we visit the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. With wide open
spaces, we will see hundreds of rare and endangered animals in their
natural element. After lunch, we board our train to Orange.
DAY 8 Tuesday 21 October 2025 Orange
Today we enjoy a sightseeing tour of Orange and the surrounding
area. Orange has a well-deserved reputation for producing excellent
food and wine, a fascinating history and stunning landscapes. We will
see Mount Conoblas and the Botanic Gardens. This afternoon enjoy a
visit to a local winery for a tasting. Orange has been blessed with ideal
conditions to produce cool climate wines. Boutique wineries make a
variety of wines including award winning chardonnay, sauvignon blanc,
shiraz and cabernet sauvignon.
DAY 9 Wednesday 22 October 2025 Parkes
This morning we travel to Parkes. On arrival, we visit one of the highlights
of the tour, the CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope, star of the movie ‘The
Dish,’ (2000). It is one of Australia’s most prominent landmarks – a
sophisticated piece of scientific equipment ironically in the middle of
sheep paddocks! We continue with a visit to the Parkes Aviation museum
before checking into our hotel.
DAY 10 Thursday 23 October 2025 Cowra
This morning we will visit the King’s Castle Elvis Exhibit and the Parkes
Motor Museum. The King’s Castle Elvis Exhibit is a unique collection of
genuine Elvis artefacts which were owned by Elvis or directly connected
to his life. Parkes Motor Museum houses an impressive collection of mint
condition motor vehicles representing all heritage motoring eras. After
lunch, we continue to Cowra. On arrival, we visit the Cowra Japanese
Garden & Cultural Centre. The garden is a tangible monument to peace
and reconciliation between two countries. Its principal objective and
purpose is the promotion of Japanese design, including landscape,
garden and crafts.
DAY 11 Friday 24 October 2025 Bathurst
After breakfast we visit the Japanese War Cemetery and the Cowra POW
Camp, site of the largest Prisoner of War breakout in modern military
history which occurred on August 5, 1944. We then travel to Bathurst,
stopping along the way to visit the gorgeous Mayfield Garden which
features a spectacular water garden and picturesque ponds, bridges
and grottoes.
DAY 12 Saturday 25 October 2025 Bathurst
This morning we enjoy a city tour of Bathurst including the Chifley home
museum (the former home of Prime Minister Ben Chifley and his wife).
This unique museum provides a glimpse into how the Chifley’s lived, and
offers an experience of everyday life in the 1940’s. Its original collection
of household furnishings, kitchenware and personal effects date back to
when the Chifley’s first occupied the house in 1914. In the afternoon we
visit Abercrombie House. National Trust registered Abercrombie House
was built in the 1870s by Bathurst pioneers the Stewart family. We return
to town via the famous Mount Panorama, home to the Bathurst 1000
and many other motorsports events throughout the year. This evening
we will enjoy an included Farewell dinner to celebrate a wonderful tour.
DAY 13 Sunday 26 October 2025 Sydney
This morning we visit the extensive Railway Museum which brings the
rich social history of Bathurst and its story as a railway town to life, with
personal recollections and interesting artefacts. There will be free time in
the afternoon before we board the XPT train at 5.05pm for our trip back
to Sydney. The completion of the railway between Sydney and Bathurst
in 1876 was instrumental to the development of the colony of New South
Wales. The picturesque train journey travels via the spectacular Blue
Mountains passing through Katoomba, Mount Victoria and Lithgow. We
arrive into Sydney Central Train Station at approximately 8:50pm and
the tour concludes. Please talk to your consultant if you would like us to
arrange post tour accommodation or if you need to disembark the train
at an earlier stop.

Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.

Tour Costs: The tour costs are based on general transport, entry, and accommodation costs. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to price will be made within 60 days of departure from Australia.
Deposit and Payment: A non-refundable deposit of $750 per passenger for is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 60 days before departure for the Rail and Coach Exploration of New South Wales. Cancellation over 60 days before tour departs results in loss of deposit. Cancellation under 60 days before tour departs will result in a loss of all monies paid. Payment may be made by cheque or cash a 1.5% administration fee will be charged on payments made by credit cards.
Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellation fees due to illness, death in family, etc.
Minimum Tour Numbers And Conditions: The tour has been priced on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 60 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost.
Tour Organisation: Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised entrances if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.
Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements that do not allow for any
refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals, airfare or other
services not utilized after the tour has commenced.
Baggage: Due to coach restrictions, tour members can only bring one large suitcase.
TOUR PARTICIPATION:
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.

Travelrite acts only as an agent in the making of arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants or any other service and does not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence or a default of any hotel, carrier restaurant company or person rendering any services included in the tour, or by act of God. Further no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery break-down, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omission, delays, re-routing or acts of any government authority. The passage contract between the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of this tour and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour and/or make such changes in the tour as may be found desirable or necessary for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying out of the tour. This contract shall be construed in accordance of the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be undertaken in the State of Victoria.
DELAYS AND UNFORESEEN EVENTS:
You engage Travelrite International
to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite
International acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts
between you and the various providers of accommodation, transportation
and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite International may
without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may as
your agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you,
any good or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is
necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you
or otherwise accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in
which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint
Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay
Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite
International in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite advises you to obtain travel insurance generally including in respect of the
risk that any such good or service may become required.
