Arrive in Jakarta and settle into your hotel – a
1920s style Art Deco and neoclassical residence.
Enjoy some free time before meeting at the hotel’s
reception at 6pm to transfer for dinner at the
Tugu Kunstkring Paleis restaurant. This grand art
gallery and cultural venue is housed in a 110-yearold
restored Dutch colonial building and will be
one of your most memorable dinners on the tour.

DAY 2 Friday 12 June 2026
Jakarta
This morning, enjoy a tour of Jakarta visiting
the Istiqlal Mosque, the 132-metre-high MONAS
monument on Merdeka Square, Gereja Sion church
and the historic colonial Dutch old town. Wander
past the Batavia train station, the Kali Besar Barat
canal, the Dutch Stadhuis and see the Si Jagur
Portuguese cannon. Enjoy lunch in a 200-yearold
colonial building, the Batavia Café, tour
Sunda Kelapa Harbor and Chinatown, and marvel
at Peranakan architecture at the Candra Naya

DAY 3 Saturday 13 June 2026
Bandung
After breakfast, we’ll travel on the fastest highspeed
train in Southeast Asia, the WHOOSH train
to Bandung. Travel at 340 kmph in business-class
comfort on this newly built Chinese train and
arrive in Bandung, where you’ll transfer to your
hotel for check in and lunch. Later, tour the city
seeing colonial and Art Deco architecture, the
Presidential Palace and the Grand Mosque. You’ll
also visit a bamboo musical instrument workshop
and craft centre to see a performance by village
students. Enjoy some free time, before dinner at
the impressive Plataran restaurant.

DAY 4 Sunday 14 June 2026
Yogyakarta
After breakfast this morning, travel on Exekutif
Class Luxury Panoramic railcars for the 500km
journey to Yogyakarta. Enjoy lunch on board,
served by private butlers and arrive in the early
afternoon. Yogyakarta, or “Jogja” is an important
centre for classical Javanese fine arts, music,
poetry and literature and is our base for the next 3
nights. Upon arrival, transfer to Royal Ambarrukmo
Yogyakarta, a historic luxury hotel that was once
a royal palace. Check in and enjoy a guided hotel
tour, where you’ll learn about the property’s rich
heritage. Enjoy a free evening.

DAY 5 Monday 15 June 2026
Yogyakarta
This morning, you’ll ride a becak bike taxi to the
Taman Sari Water Castle, the site of a former royal
garden of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. Afterwards,
tour the royal Kraton complex which is the seat of
the reigning Sultan and his family and enjoy lunch
at a traditional restaurant. Visit the Leksa Ganesha
Batik Gallery where you’ll meet local women who
make these colourful dyed textiles, before creating
some designs yourself. Later, see how the iconic
Wayang Kulit leather puppets are produced and
experience a puppet show. Return to your hotel for
a free evening.

DAY 6 Tuesday 16 June 2026
Yogyakarta
This morning, you’ll visit the charismatic Kota Gede
area to see the Mataram mosque, a local market,
royal tombs, and visit a traditional Javanese home.
Later, you’ll tour the iconic temples of Prambanan
– the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia,
enjoy lunch in the village of Bugisan and visit a
family home to learn about their way of life. In
the early evening, sip a fruity cocktail and enjoy
dinner while watching the sunset over Mount
Merapi, before enjoying a spectacular Ramayana
Ballet performance in an open-air theatre with
Prambanan Temple as the backdrop.

DAY 7 Wednesday 17 June 2026
Losari
This morning, you’ll tour the 8th century
Borobudur, the largest Buddhist temple in the
world and one of the best temple sights in South
East Asia. Enjoy lunch at the colonial Van Bloemen
1881 restaurant, visit the Candi Mendut temple and
drive to Losari for a stay in plantation-style resort.
Set in the middle of a working Javanese coffee
plantation, the MesaStila luxury 5-star resort
and spa incorporates a collection of remarkable
antiques and enchanting buildings; including a
colonial railway station and historic villas. After
check in, dinner is at leisure.

DAY 8 Thursday 18 June 2026
Losari
This morning, drive to Ambarawa for a ride on
a chartered heritage steam train travelling to
Tuntang and along the beautiful Lake Rawa Pening.
Later, tour the historic Ambarawa Railway Station
Museum to see over 20 steam locos and learn
about why the town was used for military purposes
during the colonial government of the Dutch East
Indies. After lunch, we’ll return to our hotel to enjoy
a walking tour of the MesaStila coffee plantation
to try some Robusta coffee grown on the grounds
and to see traditional techniques of roasting and
grinding the beans. Free evening.

DAY 9 Friday 19 June 2026
Surakarta
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Surakarta, the
cultural capital of East Java. Check into your hotel,
enjoy lunch together and take part in a guided
tour of the city via a ride on a chartered train –
the Steam Loco Jaladara! The train was built in
Germany in 1896 and has been used in the city
ever since. You’ll travel in restored Victorian-style
wooden carriages, stopping to tour the official
residence of the Mayor, the Danarhadi Batik
Museum, and the Kauman Batik Village. Enjoy
some free time before enjoying dinner in the
exclusive Pura Mangkunegaran Palace.

Malang
This morning, we’ll continue by train from
Surakarta to Malang. Enjoy lunch on board,
and arrive in the town in the mid-afternoon.
Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel, the
outstanding 5-star property Tugu Park Malang and unwind. The hotel was built and designed by
its founder to house his vast, priceless collection
of antiques and is one of the best and most unique
hotels in the world. Enjoy a guided tour of the
hotel, some free time before enjoying dinner in
one of their historic restaurants.

DAY 11 Sunday 21 June 2026
Malang
After breakfast today, you will explore the leafy
boulevards of Malang. The city is well known
for its mild highland climate and during Dutch
colonization, it was a popular destination for
European residents. Luckily, it retains much of
its colonial architecture and our tour today will
visit many significant buildings, the vibrant Pasar
Besar and the Kota Malang bird market, before
enjoying lunch. Later, you’ll wander the whimsical
neighbourhood of Kampung Warni Widi and
the rainbow village of Jodipan. Free evening.

Mt Bromo
This morning, we’ll take the scenic route by road
to the magnificent Mt Bromo volcano. The ‘lunaresque’
landscape of epic proportions and surreal
beauty, Gunung Mt Bromo is one of the country’s
most breathtaking sights. The eerie landscape
has spurned countless legends and myths and the
grey ashen-covered ground creates an unusual
atmosphere, which is often compared to the
moon’s surface. Upon arrival at the hotel, enjoy
lunch and check-in. Enjoy time at leisure, and an
early evening so you’re well rested for the early
start of our 4WD sunrise excursion tomorrow.

DAY 13 Tuesday 23 June 2026
Ketapang
Depart early, with your takeaway breakfast box and
a hot cup of Javanese coffee to experience the sun
rising from behind the Mt Bromo volcano. We’ll then
continue by 4WD to the volcano caldera and return
to our hotel, check out and drive to the Probolinggo
train station for the train journey to Kalibaru.
Enjoy lunch, and take part in a Coffee, Cocoa,
and Rubber Plantation Tour at the Scottish built
Glenmore Plantation. Visit the historic Glenmore
Railway Station and drive to Ketapang, a town near
Banyuwangi, arriving in the late afternoon.

Ubud
This morning, we’ll cross the Bail Strait via ferry.
Disembark, and continue by road for lunch in a
village restaurant and stop at Beratan Lake to
visit the magnificent Ulun Danu Beratan Temple,
the islands most iconic landmark. Arrive in Ubud,
Bali’s main Hindu town and cultural heart. The
towns cooler climate, lush vegetation and cultural
and arts scene makes it an ideal escape from the
heat and bustle of Bali’s busy beach towns. Check
into your hotel and enjoy a free evening, where
there’s the option of seeing a traditional Kecak
dance performance.

Ubud
This morning after breakfast, there’s free time to
relax at the resort before a mid-morning walking
tour. Gain an insight into daily village life as
you pass lush rice fields, learning about Bali’s
traditional Alang-Alang thatch roofing and stop
by a Balinese home for coffee and a simple lunch.
Later, see the sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
and finish in central Ubud, where you’ll have time
to explore the many boutique shops, galleries, and
cafes. Enjoy a free afternoon before re-grouping
for a spectacular farewell dinner together.

Touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing in the places visited and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in this activity without the need of assistance from others.

Tour Costs: The tours costs are based on transport, accommodation costs and entrance costs at 18 February 2025. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to costings will be made within 60 days of departure.
Deposit and Payment: A non-refundable deposit of $900 per passenger is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be required 60 days before departure. A 1.5% administration charge will be added to payment by Visa, Mastercard and America Express.
Cancellation: Cancellations within 60 days prior to departure will result in the loss of all monies paid. Cancellations outside of 60 days prior to departure will result in the loss of the deposit paid per person. Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellation fees due to illness, death in family, etc.
Changes To The Tour Itinerary:
Travelrite International reserves
the right to make changes to the tour itinerary to it in with operational
requirements. Any changes to the itinerary will be replaced with similar
arrangements with an equal or greater value.
Minimum Tour Numbers: The tour has been costed on the basis of a minimum number of passengers having booked 60 days prior to departure. Travelrite reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified cost if the minimum number is not achieved.
Refunds:
The tour is based on arrangements which do not allow for
any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other
services not utilised after the tour has commenced.
Baggage: All passengers qualify for 1 piece free baggage allowance.
TOUR PARTICIPATION:
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.
Responsibility: Travelrite International Pty Ltd. is the tour organiser. Travelrite International acts only as agents in making of arrangements with carriers, hoteliers and others for the tour. As a result, we cannot accept liability for any act or omission whatsoever, whether negligent or otherwise of those carriers, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with the tour over whom we have no direct or exclusive control. We do not accept responsibility for any injury, damage, loss, delay, change of schedule or any other events which are beyond our direct control, such as, but not limited to, war, flood, fire, civil disturbance, acts of God, acts of government, or any other authorities, terrorism, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment, or industrial action. The passage contract in use by the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the transportation companies or firms and the purchasers of these tours and the passengers. Baggage is at own risk throughout the tour. The contract shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria and any legal action must be undertaken in the State of Victoria.
DELAYS AND UNFORESEEN EVENTS:
You engage Travelrite International
to book this tour on your behalf and you acknowledge that Travelrite
International acts as your agent for the purpose of making contracts
between you and the various providers of accommodation, transportation
and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite International
may without reference to you provide or make available to you, or may
as your agent engage any third party to provide or make available to you,
any good or service which Travelrite International reasonably believes is
necessary for your benefit to maintain the tour itinerary, repatriate you
or otherwise accommodate, transport or sustain you in circumstances in
which the tour itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint
Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You agree to pay Travelrite International any cost thereof and you indemnify Travelrite
International in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard. Travelrite
International advises you to obtain travel insurance generally including
in respect of the risk that any such good or service may become required.
