Annette & Kim

New Zealanders Annette Hawkins and Kim Copedo are each country singers in their own right, both having solo CDs. In 2000 they decided to combine their singing form the duo Annette & Kim. Since then they have won industry awards, appeared at countless country music festivals NZ & Australia, and released several duo albums.

Hamilton County Bluegrass Band

The Hamilton County Bluegrass Band exploded onto the New Zealand folk and country music scene in 1968, the first group to popularise bluegrass music in NZ. In its heyday, through regular TV appearances, the HCBB became one of NZ's best loved musical acts. The band toured Australia, with Slim Dusty, in the 1970s, inspiring much Aussie interest in bluegrass music. The band still holds a special place in Kiwi (and Australian) hearts, with a finger-pickin' good traditional & 'originals' repertoire.

Dunedin Scottish Fiddle Orchestra

The Dunedin Scottish Fiddle Orchestra was established in 2013, convened and directed by local fiddle player, Anna Bowen. In addition to 15 + fiddle players the orchestra, from time to time, also includes the following instruments: cello; small-pipes; piano; accordion; flute; Irish bouzouki, & guitar. Since its inception the DSFO has played many ceilidhs, Hogmanays & Burns suppers and is a regular performer at civic events, with its jaunty selection of jigs, reels, strathspeys, & even the occasional ragtime piece!

John Howie

John Howie will be the tour leader/manager. Since 1995 John has led many successful music tours of Ireland, Scotland, Europe, the U.S., New Zealand and the Australian outback. He has also led many successful music cruises. John is a musician and former secondary school music teacher. He and his twin brother, Graeme, perform as The Howie Brothers, one of Australia’s leading country music / easy listening / vocal harmony acts.

Gill Delaney

Gill Delaney ((accordion/ukulele/mouth organ player from Wangaratta) has played in dance bands most of her life, and knows a million tunes! She will join the tour as an assistant tour leader and musician, and will be involved in lots of fun-filled informal music sessions with John Howie and the tour group.
