Ovation of the Seas

Ovation of the Seas is a Quantum class ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet. Royal Caribbean have certainly made a Quantum leap forward with the facilities on the ship. On-board the Ovation of the Seas there are a whole host of new concepts. One is the North Star, a London Eye type capsule offering you 360 degree views of your current surroundings from 90 meters above the sea! Another introduction is the SeaPlex, the largest indoor active space at sea, here you’ll find 30 bumper cars, a roller rink, a full size basketball court, a circus school, floating DJ booth and a food truck! In the Bionic Bar, Bionic barmen can mix two cocktails a minute with their laser precision ensuring that the thirst is well and truly quenched. The staterooms on-board the Ovation of the Seas are the most spacious in the Royal Caribbean fleet. All the staterooms have soothing aesthetics and sea inspired colour. There are virtual balconies in the interior staterooms with floor to ceiling virtual screens to give you the feel of an ocean view where you can enjoy the sunset and sunrise from the comfort of your interior stateroom. There are three main restaurants; American Icon Grill, Silk (for Asian fusion) and The Grande for more formal dining. The Vitality at sea Spa includes a Vitality Café and 158 cardio and fitness machines.

Day 1 Depart Australia, Arrive Banff, Canada
Our adventure starts today as we depart Australia, arriving in Calgary on the same day. On arrival we enjoy breathtaking scenery as you journey to the resort town of Banff, nestled in the heart of Banff National Park in the Rocky Mountains (approx. 2 hours). Meals included: In-flight

Day 2 Banff, Canada
This morning we travel to the world famous Lake Louise in Banff National Park and enjoy the views over this breath-taking lake. We will then travel on the Icefields Parkway, through the Eastern Main Ranges, the highest, most rugged, and most scenic part of the Rockies. Considered the most beautiful drive in the world, the jaw-dropping scenery is punctuated by more than 100 ancient glaciers, waterfalls cascading from rock sprees, and turquoise lakes set in sweeping valleys. Views of Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Summit, Mistaya Canyon are sure to please all who journey to this amazing part of the world. Upon arrival at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre take an opportunity to ride on the specially designed “Ice Explorer” (not included) which takes you onto the surface of the stunning Athabasca Glacier. In the afternoon begin your return journey back to Banff. Upon arrival back at your hotel enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 3 Banff, Canada
A day for individual exploration in the beautiful town of Banff. You may like to ride the Banff Gondola over the shoulder of Sulphur Mountain and enjoy incredible views of the Canadian Rockies. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 4 Vernon, Canada
This morning we travel through the spectacular Rockies to Vernon. We will see the legendary Spiral Tunnel and magical Emerald Lake. We will enjoy a free afternoon in Vernon which is beautifully located between three lakes and has mountain views in every direction. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 5 Vancouver, Canada
This morning continue onto Vancouver a bustling west coast seaport which is among Canada’s densest, most ethnically diverse cities. On the way we will visit Lake Okanagan where monster watchers claimed sightings of Ogopogo, a Canadian folklore lake monster. On arrival in Vancouver we will have a sightseeing tour with a local guide. We drive through the 1,000 acre Stanley Park, then step out for a look at the exceptional collection of totem poles at Lions Gate Bridge. We visit historic Gastown, site of Vancouver’s original settlement, Chinatown and more. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 6 Vancouver, Canada
A day for individual exploration of the beautiful city of Vancouver. You may like to visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Built in 1889 the bridge has amazing views over the spectacular Capilano gorge and river. Another attraction is Granville Island, the famous market acts as a hub of activity, but it’s also one of the city’s most important cultural districts with theatres, artisan workshops and craft studios. Day 7 Seattle, USA
This morning we travel by coach to Seattle. Seattle is a major cultural centre as evident in the architecture, food, fashion and arts. On arrival we will enjoy an overview sightseeing tour of Seattle with a local guide. We will visit the Space Needle and Seattle Centre, then we’re off to Pike Place Market, a working market with views over Elliott Bay. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 8 Seattle, USA
With Mount Rainier and the Space Needle standing watch, take today to discover the Emerald City. Explore historic Pioneer Square, browse the stalls and shops at Pike Place Market, visit the Experience Music Project, and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the city atop the Space Needle. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 9 Seattle, Begin Alaska Glacier Cruise
Today we board the Ovation of the Seas. Be up on deck as the ship slips her moorings at 4pm for the start of our fabulous 7 night cruise to Alaska. From the awe inspiring blue ice of a massive glacial field to the expansive grandeur of its wildlife and nature, Alaska is a land of natural wonders. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 10 At sea
A day at sea is the perfect opportunity to explore the fabulous facilities of this magnificent ship. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 11 Inside Passage & Juneau, Alaska
This morning we cruise the spectacular Inside Passage. We sail past many beautiful islands and part of Tongass National narrow-gauge railroads. At midday we arrive in Juneau, the capital of Alaska. Juneau was founded in 1880 by prospectors going to the gold rushes. You may like to see the beautiful Mendenhall Glacier, one of 38 glaciers flowing from the massive 1,500-square-mile Juneau Icefield. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 12 Skagway, Alaska
We sail onto Skagway, which was the disembarkation point for Stampeders travelling over the Chilkoot Pass to the Klondike gold rush of 1897-98. Few one-time boomtowns retain the flavour of the gold rush days like Skagway. This ‘Gateway to the Klondike’ is preserved as a National Historic Park and features one of the oldest narrow-gauge railroads. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 13 Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier
This morning we visit the dramatic Dawes Glaciers at the end of Endicott Arm. Framed by mountains on either side, the glaciers are often bathed in a light mist that amplifies the blue hue of the ice. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 14 At sea
A free day while the Ovation of the Seas cruises Alaska.There will be time to enjoy the wonderful facilities of the ship, perhaps have a spa or beauty treatment, attend an informative lecture, or a dance class. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 15 Victoria, Canada
This morning we call into the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada. Named after Queen Victoria, the city was settled in 1841 and has retained a number of its historic buildings. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 16 Seattle, USA – Depart
This morning we arrive back in Seattle and after disembarking the ship we travel to Seattle airport for your flight home after a spectacular trip-of-a-lifetime. Meals included: Breakfast & In-flight

Day 18 Arrive in Australia

Ovation of the Seas is operated by Royal Caribbean Cruises and the Best of the Rocky Mountains, Canada and Alaska fly/cruise arrangements are subject to the terms and conditions and general information detailed in the Royal Caribbean brochure 2019. All passengers must complete and online cruise personalizer at www.royalcaribbean.com and sign a Cruise Offers Value Holidays booking form.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT:
All Cruise Offers Value Holidays are heavily discounted and available for a limited time only. For this reason we require a deposit of $1500 per person at the time of booking. This payment is non-refundable. The deposit should be sent with a completed Cruise Offers booking form that lists your requested cabin category. As soon as the booking is confirmed, (usually within 24 hours), a cruise confirmation advice will be posted to the client. The confirmation advice will contain all details. The passenger must also complete the online Royal Caribbean cruise personaliser at www.royalcaribbean.com. Final payments are due to be paid to Cruise Offers 90 days prior to the commencement of the Ovation of the Seas fly/cruise. A 1.5% administration fee will be added to payments by Visa or Mastercard and 3% for payment by AMEX or Diners Club cards. Any changes made to a booking after purchase may incur fees.

REFUNDS:
The cruise is based on arrangements which do not allow for any refunds in respect to sightseeing, accommodation, meals or other services not utilised after the tour has commenced.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:
All passengers will require a valid passport. A visa waiver for Canada and USA is required before departure. If not an Australian passport holder check with Cruise Offers for visa requirements.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Adequate travel insurance is required to cover cruise members for the consequences of unforeseen events during the cruise and for cancellation fees which could result from events such as illness, accident, death etc.

BAGGAGE:
Passengers qualify for a 20kg free baggage allowance on flights to join or return from the cruise.

MINIMUM TOUR NUMBERS:
The fly/cruise arrangements have been made on the basis of a minimum number of passengers travelling. In the event that less than the required number of passengers have confirmed their booking 90 days from the date of departure, Cruise Offers reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of monies paid, or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour at a modified fare.
