Matthew is a Bond aficionado, Editor at Large of The Daily Telegraph and is the author of more than 10 books including the bestselling The Men Who Killed Qantas. He discovered the works of Ian Fleming in the fortnightly library van that came to his small village in Norfolk in the East of England and credits the author with inspiring him to a career as a journalist. Matthew worked in Fleet Street in London where he was one of the first journalists to break the news of Princess Diana’s death and tracked down Elvis Presley’s first girlfriend in Biloxi Mississippi. He covered the Bali Bombing and Boxing Day Tsunami and went on patrol in the Russian Far East with the anti-poaching brigade. His adventures include swimming the English Channel, off piste heli-skiing in the Canadian Rockies and racing an auto rickshaw across India from Chennai to Goa. His career has also taken him into the world of Bond, he has met Daniel Craig and George Lazenby and spent an entertaining afternoon interviewing Roger Moore and his wife Kristina in Sydney.

DAY 2 March 13, 2025 Kitzbuel, Austria
We arrive into Europe today. On arrival we are transferred to the Tyrolian
town of Kitzbuel where we spend the next three nights. Ian Fleming spent
time at Kitzbuel in 1926 and 1927 and his time here was a major influence on
his life. He learnt to ski and rock climb and lives with a former spy. We will be
attending the Fireball James Bond Festival while we are here.
DAY 3 March 14, 2025 Kitzbuel
Today we see a number sights associated with Ian Fleming in Kitzbeul. This
evening enjoy the Fireball Festival Blackjack tournament, or just enjoy the
atmosphere of having a drink and chatting to Bond fans!
DAY 4 March 15, 2025 Kitzbuel
This morning you have a chance to compete in the optional James Bond
Challenge ski race at Kitzbuel. If you are not competing, explore the lovely
medieval town of Kitzbuel. This evening enjoy the Fireball James Bond
Festival gala dinner the highlight of the festival.
DAY 5 March 16, 2025 Solden
Today we depart Kitzbuel and travel to the Alpine resort of Solden that was
used during the filming of Spectre. We take the gondola up the mountain
and visit the 007 ELEMENTS installation located at the top of Mt Gaislachkogl
at 3048m Take a journey through a series of galleries, each distilling the craft
of the signature elements that define a James Bond film. The installation
focuses on Spectre, which was shot in Sölden and also features other titles
in the long-running Bond film franchise. There will be time to eat at the Q
Ice restaurant.
DAY 6 March 17, 2025 Interlarken
We depart Solden today and travel into Switzerland and the city of Bern
where we see the outside of Gumbold office that Bond steals documents
from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. We then continue on to our hotel in
Interlarken.
DAY 7 March 18, 2025 Interlarken
In one of the highlights of the tour we travel into the Swiss Alps and take
the cable car up the Schiltorn to see Blofeld’s alpine base Piz Gloria from
the film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Now a restaurant and museum we
will have an included lunch here. We will visit the On Her Majesty’s Secret
Service Spyworld museum and cinema. We will also see the Walk of Fame
where there are descriptions and handprints of actors from the film. There
will also be an optional opportunity to ski down from Schiltorn in the
footsteps of Bond. After we travel on the cable down we see a number of
further sights from the film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service around the town
of Lauterbrunnen in the valley below. We then return to our hotel.
DAY 8 March 19, 2025 Como
Today we depart Interlarken and first travel to the town of Andermatt. We
see the locations that were used in the filming of Goldfinger. We see where
the car chase between Bond in his Aston Martin DB5 and Tilly in her Mustang
convertible was filmed. We see the service station where they stopped after
Tilly’s tire was unexpectedly blown out. We then visit the lower sections of
the Furka Pass where Bond follows Goldfinger from a distance and is shot
at. We then visit the Verzasca Dam which was where Bond bungee jumped
down in the film Goldeneye standing in for a location in the Soviet Union. It is
possible to follow in Bond’s footsteps and bungee jump down the dam. We
continue on to Italy and the city of Como.
DAY 9 March 20, 2025 Como
Today we travel up Lake Como and first visit Villa del Balbianello that was
used for filming in Casino Royale. The scene where Bond and Vesper are
recovering and a Swiss banker comes to get a code for a funds transfer was
filmed here. We then see Villa La Gaeta, which is used in Casino Royale as the
residence of Mr White. We then take the ferry over to the exquisite village of
Bellagio located on the tip of the peninsular splitting Lake Como. There will
be free time for lunch and to explore. We return by ferry to Como.
DAY 10 March 21, 2025 Venice
Today we first travel to Lake Garda. Along the shores of this spectacular
Italian lake James Bond was chased in his Aston Martin by two Alpha Romeos
in Quantum of Solace. We then continue on to the city of Venice. The amazing
water city has featured in a number of Bond films including From Russia with
Love, Moonraker and Casino Royale. Ian Fleming also visited Venice a number
of times and it features in his short story Risico in For Your Eyes Only.
DAY 11 March 22, 2025 Venice
Today we have a tour of Venice. We travel down the Grand Canal and see from
the water a number of sights and palaces filmed in the series. We then visit
St Marks’s square and a number of film sites in the area. We visit the famed
Harry’s Bar where Ian Fleming (and other literary giants like Hemmingway)
used to frequent on his visits to Venice.
DAY 12 March 23, 2025 Monaco
Today we depart Venice and travel across Italy to the French Riviera and the
Principality of Monaco where we stay for the next three nights.
DAY 13 March 24, 2025 Monaco
This morning we have a tour of the famous Monte Carlo Casino and see the
interior rooms where James Bond famously gambled. Used for filming in the
Bond films Never Say Never Again and Goldeneye. We then visit the Roman
theatre seen in Goldeneye and see the harbor where the helicopter is stolen
by Xenia Onatopp in Goldeneye. We then pay our respects to Roger Moore
at his grave in the Monaco cemetery. Tonight dress up for the optional
excursion to the Monte Carlo Casino to play the tables James Bond style or
just explore this amazing casino.
DAY 14 March 25, 2025 Monaco
This morning we travel to St Jean-Cap-Ferrat and first visit the Villa Ephrussi
de Rothschild that was used in the filming of Never Say Never Again. The villa
is located so close to Sean Connery’s villa on the Riviera he could of walked
to the shooting of Never Say Never Again. We will then take a boat cruise
around the area and see many of the luxurious villas of the area including
Fleur du Cap, which was owned by David Niven who played Bond in the 1967
version of Casino Royale and the La Voile d’Or that was used in the James
Bond inspired TV show The Persuaders which starred Roger Moore. We will
see some of the famous corniche road before we return to our hotel.
DAY 15 March 26, 2025 London
This morning we transfer to Nice airport for our flight to London. On arrival
we see the gates of Pinewood Studios where most of the Bond films were
filmed. We visit Black Park which is located next to Pinewood Studios and
is the location where many scenes of Goldfinger were filmed including the
Aston Martin chase and ejector seat ejection. We visit the church where Bond
pays his respects to his dead wife in For Your Eyes Only. We then visit Stokes
Park golf club were the famous golf match between Bond and Goldfinger
took place (subject to renovations being completed) We are transferred to
our hotel were we stay for the next four nights.
DAY 16 March 27, 2025 London
This morning we will have a tour of London and see range of Bond locations
across London. We see the College of Arms from On Her Majesty’s Secret
Service, Shanghai Tower and secret new entrance to Mi6’s ‘new digs’ from
Skyfall. You’ll also be able to take a visit to St Petersburg from Goldeneye and
see the secret entrance to Vauxhall Cross Station from Die Another Day. This
afternoon we visit a number of exclusive shops in central London that Bond
frequented in the novels and the films. This evening we have an included
celebratory dinner at Rules restaurant where James Bond is filmed as having
a meal with M and Moneypenny in Spectre.
DAY 17 March 28, 2025 London
This morning we have a tour of the Reform Club in London. The club was the
basis of Blades Club of the novels and was also used for filming of the sword
fight scene in Die Another Day. This afternoon we ride down the Thames River
as Bond did in the film The World is Not Enough. We see the main sights of
London including the MI5 HQ building, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Tower
Bridge, the tower of London and much more! This evening join Matthew for
a drink in Ian Fleming’s footsteps at The Vesper Bar.
DAY 18 March 29, 2025 London
Today we take part in the Shadow of Spectre James Bond experience.
Interact with M, Moneypenny, Q and others on this unique experience
across London. MI6 needs your help. It is critical you follow 007’s trail. Gather
intelligence, navigate the city and solve clues in a bid to outsmart Spectre.
This evening join together for a final night dinner with a special James Bond
guest in attendance to celebrate our Bond tour of Europe.
DAY 19 March 30, 2025 Departure
This morning we will check out of the hotel and be transferred to airport for
flights back to Australia and elsewhere.
DAY 20 March 31, 2025 Arrival
The flights arrive back into Australia and the tour concludes.

TOUR COSTS:
The tour costs are based on airfare, general transport, and accommodation costs at 1/4/24. Travelrite reserves the right to alter the costs if any of these factors change, giving any passenger that has booked the right to withdraw with full refund of monies paid or modify arrangements. No alterations to price will be made within 60 days of the start of the tour.
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT:
A non-refundable deposit of
$1200 per passenger for is required at the time of booking.
Full payment will be required 90 days before departure. A
1.5% administration fee will be charged on payments made
by credit card.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations within 60 days of departure
will result in the loss of all monies paid. Cancellation outside
60 days from departure will result in a cancellation fee of the
deposit.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Travel insurance is recommended to
cover the costs of cancellation fees due to illness, death in
family, etc.
MINIMUM TOUR NUMBERS AND CONDITIONS:
The tour
has been priced on the basis of a minimum number of pass
engers having booked 60 days prior to departure. Travelrite
reserves the right to cancel the tour, giving a full refund of all
monies paid or offer arrangements to proceed with the tour
at a modified cost. Travelrite reserves the right to change
advertised entrances if necessary for the smooth operation
of the tour.
REFUNDS:
The tour is based on arrangements that do not
allow for any refunds in respect of sightseeing, accomm
odation, meals, airfare or other services not utilised after the
tour has commenced.
TOUR ORGANISATION:
Travelrite reserves the right to change advertised
entrances if necessary for the smooth operation of the tour.
TOUR PARTICIPATION:
Children under 5 years of age are ineligible on coach & cruise tours. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Travelrite & Cruise Offers tours provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance, and do not require special assistance from Travelrite & Cruise Offers personnel. Travelrite and Cruise Offers reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of coach & cruise tour travel and who may require services and facilities that Travelrite & Cruise Offers cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold the Travelrite & Cruise Offers responsible for any decision made by any of them or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.

International acts only as agent for passengers in making

in connection with the tour over whom we have no direct
or exclusive control. We do not accept responsibility for
any injury, damage, loss, delay, change of schedule, or any
other events that are beyond our direct control, such as, but
not limited to, war, terrorism, flood, fire. Civil disturbance,
acts of God, acts of Government, or any other authorities,
accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment, or
industrial actions. The passage contract in use by the
carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole
contract between the transportation companies or firms

DELAYS AND UNFORESEEN EVENTS:
You engage Travelrite
International to book this tour on your behalf and you
acknowledge that Travelrite International acts as your agent
for the purpose of making contracts between you and
the various providers of accommodation, transportation
and other services that comprise the tour. Travelrite may
without reference to you provide or make available to you,
or may as your agent engage any third party to provide or
make available to you, any good or service which Travelrite
reasonably believes is necessary for your benefit to maintain
the tour itinerary, repatriate you or otherwise accommodate,
transport or sustain you in circumstances in which the tour
itinerary fails wholly or partly for any reason. You appoint Travelrite International your attorney for this purpose. You
agree to pay Travelrite any cost thereof and you indemnify
Travelrite in respect of any cost it incurs in this regard.
Travelrite advises you to obtain travel insurance generally
including in respect of the risk that any such good or service
may become required.
